얼마전 OS Chrome의 공개 스크린샷이 합성인 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
그리고 이번에 mashable.com을 통해 새로운 공개 스크린샷이 공개되었습니다. 물론 이번에도 사실이다 Fake이다 논란이 많습니다. 그러나 이번 스크린샷은 지난 번 공개와 다르게 실제 OS Chrome의 베타라는 의견이 지배적입니다.
저역시 아래 그림과 같이 심플하게 구성될 것이란 상상과 비슷하게 나온 그림이라 사실 쪽에 무게를 더 두고 싶습니다.
다시 해프닝으로 끝날지도 모르지만 한번 느껴보시지요.^^

- instant boot & fast runtime,
- super long battery life,
- always on operation (like a mobile phone),
- no data backups & restores,
- low/no software installation & maintenance,
- no virus, spyware, etc. scanning,
- automatic OS updates (all devices "globally" are always running the latest version),
- flash-drive installation, for portable work environments,
- ability to run on any device (smartphones, netbooks, notebooks, desktops, eReaders, game consoles, photo frames, carputers, …),
- ability to run on any CPU architecture (x86, ARM, MIPS, …),
FOR DEVELOPERS:
- web apps that behave & perform like desktop apps (offline use, 3D graphic acceleration, etc.), through the use of HTML5/Gears, Native Client, WebGL/O3D, BONDI, etc.
- web app improvements or bug fixes that can be propagated to millions/billions of users instantaneously.
- web apps that can be offered for free/sale/subscription, to any user located anywhere in the world.
This is REALLY exciting!
